Basic Information That Changed the Way I Wear a Mask

Aang, a sponsored child of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) in the Sambas Program Area, experienced a change in behavior after attending a training about basic Covid-19 information with WVI. He did not understand the importance of using masks, but now he is starting to care about the benefits of using masks during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Previously, Aang admitted that he didn't care about cleaning masks. As long as they were used, he thought it was safe. After knowing the information well, Aang realized that his behavior was inappropriate, and making him at risk to Covid-19. Since then, Aang has often changed the masks he uses.

“I already have a lot of masks at home. I used to use a mask without changing it. Then, I learned that masks could also be a medium for Covid-19 transmission so I changed my masks frequently," said Aang.

Aang did not want to keep the knowledge himself. As the leader of the child forum, Aang feels responsible to share this information with his friends in the village. Related to that, Aang gathered his child forum friends and provided basic information dissemination related to Covid-19 to 30 prospective members of the child forum.

"I hope they who get this information can gain knowledge. I also hope they can put it into good habits. Thank you to Wahana Visi Indonesia for providing this information," he concluded.

To support the children, the WVI Area Sambas Program continues to disseminate information to children and communities so that they are ready to face new normal habits.
