Proud to be a Child Researcher
Her determination to have broad insight so as not to be trapped in regret for dropping out of school and marrying at a child's age has made Dinda succeeded in carving out pride for the Teluk Keramat District Child Forum. The results of the three months of hard work that she and the Child Forum survey team did not end in vain.
Through research on the issue of children dropping out of school and marriage at a child's age, has led them to submit recommendations to the government from the village to the regency level. In fact, they had the opportunity to submit the research results directly to the Regent of Sambas, H. Satono, S.Sos.I, MH.
The involvement of 4 Village Child Forums and 1 District Child Forum in Teluk Keramat gave something new and received excellent appreciation from the government. Dinda, part of the young research team, felt delighted and proud of the achievements.
Dinda is very grateful because of the knowledge she got of how to conduct research provided by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI), she is able to handle challenges and obstacles when conducting research in the field.
She said that she had various kinds of experiences that she had never had before. This experience also made her more active in learning because she realized the importance of school and wanted to see the world more broadly in order to gain a lot of experience.
"I am very proud of this activity, we are young researchers and the results of our research are conveyed to the government," said Dinda.
It didn't just stop at research, Dinda and friends also led the audience with the Child Forum friends.
Support also came from Dinda's family, especially her parents. They hope that Dinda will gain experience as preparation when she goes to college.
Dinda and this young research team hope that the results of their research can be followed up by the government so that the issue of dropping out of school and child marriage can be overcome in their area. She hopes that the younger generation will be actively involved in children's participation activities.
Dinda is also grateful that she has received many stories and experiences from research respondents that are thought-provoking and changed her point of view. Now she is more concerned with her future and exploring the world rather than marrying at a young age after graduating from high school.
"I hope that my friends will also be active in positive activities for children, such as this research activity," she concluded.
