All because of Training
Nevi Purnama (37) is a housewife who is committed to being a Social Volunteer for Children Care for Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI). Nevi established her steps as someone who loves the world of children. By having the capacity of the Basic Child Care Program (SBT4DP) Basic Training, she was enthusiastic to do many things for children.
She does data collecting for children who do not have a birth certificate starting from around the neighborhood where she lives. She strives for the completeness of the required documents so that children can get the right to have a birth certificate.
Not only that, Nevi is now diligently making visits to children's homes, monitoring the health and education conditions of children, especially children with vulnerable conditions.
Nevi said that based on the results of her monitoring, she found that a child with a disability in her village had not received a proper education according to his age. Nevi then made a simple report to the women group in his village to approach the child's parents, so that the child could be immediately registered at the special school in his town.
It was a valuable experience for Nevi to be able to do small but impactful things for the younger generation in her living area. Nevi hopes that in the future the children can fulfill their rights and get a prosperous life.
