Because Dreaming is The Right of Every Child
Everyone has dreams and desires in life, including Parti (9), a sponsored child of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) from TTS Regency who dreams of becoming a doctor. To realize this dream, Parti has been saving since childhood and has her way of making money to save.
The Parti family is one of the families that received assistance in the creation of a Nutrition Garden by WVI. Since he was 6 years old, Parti has often helped his parents to water the vegetables in the Nutrition Garden. The harvested vegetables are then sold and the money is given to Parti.
Uniquely, Parti used the money to buy equipment for making chicken feet chips and noodles. In that way, she can earn more money to save in one of the cooperatives in her village.
Every month Parti is assisted by her parents and sibling to make chicken feet chips and sell them for IDR 1,000 per pack. The money from the sale of the chips was used to pay for ingredients for making chicken feet from his parents' stall, such as eggs, flour, and sugar. The rest then returned to her savings in the cooperative and her piggy bank. However, Parti usually saves IDR 50,000 per month.
Parti knows how to save money from his mother. Since the 2nd grade of elementary school, her mother has taught her to save money to buy the things she wants. Furthermore, she began to recognize the importance of saving from various programs carried out by WVI.
Parti is only one of many children who have benefited from the WVI program. However, there are still many other girls who have not experienced the joy that Parti experienced.
You can help more GIRLs to realize their dreams through the child sponsorship program. Find out more about the program at: wahanavisi.org/1000girls
